problem #34

Ram 2500 4WD Diesel

  • miles
The truck pulls left when braking. When loaded or towing a trailer you have to have both hands on the wheel or you will be in the ditch or worse yet pulled into oncoming traffic. I have had the truck to 3 different dealers at Chrysler request for a total of 6 repair attempts and 28 days in the shop. The last visit was for 8 days and included leaving my truck and trailer yet the truck still isn't repaired. The Chrysler rep has placed the blame on my trailer and called my problem a questionable repair because I'm towing a trailer with my truck. Worst customer service I've ever encountered!!

Also, the front brakes and caliper repeatdly fails almost every 3000 miles.

Anti-lock brakes are designed for the rear wheels only. The front brakes do not have anti-lock brakes. If driving in snow or ice and applying the brakes, front brakes lock up. Rear brakes will release, allowing engine power to go to the rear wheels, and continue to power the vehicle forward. Very dangerous to drive on snow/ice. Parked vehicle under these conditions. Consumer has filed a report with NHTSA auto safety hotline line. Also, the dealership Chrysler/Dodge has not corrected the problem.
