All the brake components except the master cylinder were replaced 7 times starting at 7,000 miles because they either locked up or didn't function at times. An accident occurred due to this failure. Also, automatic transmission was replaced/rebuilt 8 times because it blew out, slipped, or dropped down from O/D to regular gear, which started at 5,000/20,000 miles finally, the engine head was replaced twice because it cracked on both sides, which started at 77,000-90,000 miles.

No crash involved...yet. Vehicle drifts to the right all the time & suddenly pulls hard right at random times. Antilock brakes have never worked. Have contacted 3 dealers about the problem & not one will admit there is a problem, yet I can find hundreds of people in internet chat rooms that have the same problem.

Under panic braking, the braking system seems to fail about the time when the anti-lock should be kicking in. Massive loss of pressure for periods of less than several seconds under the panic brake conditions. Load and speed do not seem to matter or be factors.

Vehicle exhibited severe front end problem 2 weeks from purchase. The truck severly pulls to the left upon braking and the front end shakes making the vehicle hard to control. 8+ attempts have made to repair the problem but it stil persists. Daimler Chrysler will not help in this situation even after being contacted by attorneys, better business bureau and Consumer Affairs. This vehicle is very dangerous and I fear for my husband and his passangers lives. We are fincancing this vehicle and only ask them to break the contract, return our deposit and take the vehicle off the road.

Ram 2500 4WD Diesel

I have heard some talk of someone out in California, refabricting the front brake system to solve this problem. Is there any other truck owners that have also heard this" the brake calipers on this 1999 Dodge, are almost have the size of the brake calipers on my 1992. The brakes pull hard to the right when braking at any speed, especially during rain. Very very dangerous when rainy weather. Dealer has been very very good with me in trying to get this fixed. Even they are telling me they will have to contact Chrysler too. Does someone have to get hurt, and file a lawsuit to make anything happen" why wait til one is dead, take action now, this is a safety concern!! lets start a chat section, get everyone together!!!
