This is more of an inquiry than complaint. I had an injector go out, group 1, had it replaced $601.00 which is a good price for the work done. The following week on 5-16-2016 one of the pulley's broke and of course knocked the serpentine belt off, I had it towed to the shop for repair. The shop called and said broke some of the fan, and I was told it had been wearing down the cam sensor, and of course they needed to drill and tap the bolt out that broke on the pulley. After this was all repaired they called and ask if the truck had been running bad or rough, I said I had noticed a slight change when it was idling and they said they think it dropped a cylinder.

So my question is should this happen? He said he has done six cummins already this year. My truck has 18100 miles but has been running good UNTIL. Is this a normal type of thing when one thing goes wrong it snow balls into more. I would appreciate some advice or at least a response.

Ram 2500 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 71,000 miles

My engine over heated and when the water shot out of the overflow it went into the air intake and was sucked into the engine and now I need a new engine. My insurance company said that it was a machanical or design defect and will not cover it. The overflow is above and pointing at the air intake.

Ram 2500 2500 HD 5.9L Cummings

Can you believe Chrylser/Dodge has the nerve to deny my warranty coverage on a diesel engine with 55,000 miles when it has a 100,000 mile warranty? They said I have a "dusted engine." They claim I let dust get into my engine and ruin only two of my cylinders, where as the other four are in such good shape, you can still see the cross-hatching marks on the cylinder walls. My dealership even wants to cover the repair under warranty, but their regional reps denied coverage. I am in the Houston, TX area and the two reps in question are Jim Neal and Stuart Richie. These two jerks won't even tell me anything in person. They refuse repeated request I have put in for them to contact me. Furthermore, they ordered my dealer to deny me any refusal of warranty coverage in writing. If anybody out there knows these two jerks, I feel sorry for you, but would you give them a message for me - Be a man and talk to me face to face.
