problem #2

Ram 3500

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

Wondering if there are any recalls or if anyone has heard anything about engines locking up at random. We were driving around 60 miles an hour when the engine died with no warning lights and never was able to start again. A Cummins shop has removed engine. I am unsure on all the details of it but a new engine is what they said it needs. HELP!!!

Ram 3500 Laramie 6.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 54,525 miles

After dealing with this for almost a year and being told it was dirty diesel, dirty fuel tank, dirty fuel lines, bad fuel pump by the dealer and replacing my pump with an after market FASS system, the problem continued to occur. Usually when the truck is in operation on the highway or in heavy traffic. After trial and error we have determined that the TIPM is the issue and we can temporarily correct the fault but wedging an object in the cover of the TIPM that applies pressure down as a temporary fix on a cold solder joint or other loose connection that cannot be seen within the module. I am 1500 miles from home and cannot find one in stock so I am going to attempt to travel back using our fix.
