I have a 1993 Dodge Shadow with a 2.2L engine. When cold it runs great but when I go on the highway I start to hear a tapping sound. When I exit the highway and come to a stop light, the idle drops down so low that my oil light comes on. I can drive the car all day in the city and this will not happen. I have replaced my O/2 sensor and my coolant temp sensor with no difference. My fuel economy has gone down since this started happening. My oil pressure with the engine hot is 13 psi at idle and 50 psi at 1300 RPM. Head gasket and timing belt were both recently done. Any suggestions?
