124 Spider Classica 1.4L

  • Manual transmission
  • 21,000 miles

The Spider started jumping out of 4th gear (standard transmission), unless I HELD it in 4th. When any gas was given, it would jump out. Could not get up to speed without holding in 4th or skipping to 5th. No abuse, no racing. I'm thrilled they are replacing rather than tinkering with it like others have reported. Can't wait to get it back!

We bought this car, which is an upgrade, a BARTH, brand new. We have been complaining to the dealership that the car periodically jumps out of 4th gear by itself. This is very dangerous, especially when you are on a major highway.

The dealership has had this car back for the same incident 4 times already, and they can't seem to find a problem.

We want them to replace the car. Dealership is not budging, and when I contacted Fiat USA, that was just as frustrating, if not more so. One of the USA "case managers" said they would close our open file because the car was not physically at the dealership when we contacted them. It wasn't at the dealership because they asked us to pick up the car since they can't find anything wrong with it.

Stay away from Luke Dealerships, can't depend on them
