500L Trekking 1.4L I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

Pressed the button to retract the power roller shade and heard a loud crunching sound. The shade did not stop automatically so I pressed the button to stop it. Looked back and found the roller shade had come out of the tracks all along the driver's side, with noticeable creasing all throughout the middle of the shade fabric. Tried fitting the driver's side of the shade back into the tracks by hand but could not get it to stay.

The dealer said a "locking pin" holding the shade in place broke and the whole roll needed to be replaced. This required removing the sunroof glass and it took them about 1 week to finish.

Unfortunately for me, when I got the car back, they hadn't properly realigned the sunroof glass so it would not fully close; that took another week for them to fix.

When I got the car back the next time, there was a lot of wet pink glue along the inside of the glass, some of which got on the brand new shade. They had clearly over applied glue to the inside of the sunroof glass.
