This was a brand new leased 2014 Ford CMax Energi vehicle. I have always purchased my cars in the past, so I babied this car because I knew I'd be turning it in again someday. I never went off road, stayed only on the city streets. After only one month, one day I turned a corner and headed up a paved hill when I heard a noise and pulled over to looked under my car. There was a plastic piece dangling near my front tire and another on the other side looked loose. I went into the Ford dealership. They said I hit something to make this happen, but I didn't, I told them I would know if I hit something. They estimated it to cost $344, which I didn't have at that time. They said it wasn't a necessary part, and that I could do it or not. I don't think this was my fault, but a defect since the car was new. I have owned many cars over the years and never had an issue like this even with my older cars.
