problem #1

C-Max Hybrid SE 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,800 miles

Discovered after many months why C-max had no abs, no traction control and no speedometer. A rodent or rodents had been eating on the electrical wiring. This information was provided by local Ford dealership. I discovered that this is a very common problem with most OEM autos with soy based wiring.

I believe this is a serious safety concern since it does involve the major braking system of the auto. It is apparent that someday, someone will suffer dead or injury or loss of vehicle as a result. This is a very easy. low cost fix to protect the exposed wiring from damage especially from rodents or mice and other pests. There should be a major recall to correct this major safety issue. It is far cheaper to correct the problem than being involved with a major law suit.
