Econoline E250 5.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 36,000 miles

In 2008 i purchased this van brand new to serve me in the security industry, it took 2 months to outfit the van with bench, tools, cabinets, inverter ect.....about 1300 lbs or so. I am the only person who drives this vehicle and drive it very easy because it is my livelihood. At 36,000 miles the transmission let go, really let go, to the point of replacement and 6 days off the road. You would think if something like this happens especially at this milage they would be crawling all over you to fix it and get it out and the customer happy. I ask you how long does it take to get a transmisson from there supplier, not long at all it's the f----g paper work that drags everything down this service manager told me. Really! Well, thank god i purchased the extended warranty at the encouragement of the sales person (Chris) he is on my xmas list......do you think he was aware of this and now looks like a genius. Motor, Tranny r-end, pretty simple you would think, it makes no sense to purchase a new car these day's...period end of story
