Edge

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,300 miles

Similar to many complaints about the computer defect impacting the ignition coils. The car ran fine for 60,000 miles, then started shuttering and would not accelerate...3 coils replaced and the problem did not get better. Now having the PCM and other three coils replaced. Someone mentioned that there was an active class-action suit against Ford, I'd be interested in more information if available. The manufacturer clearly knew this was an issue for some time and never issued a recall.
