The locked door emblem sporadically comes on and stays on. It makes my interior lights stay on. It runs my battery down. The back passenger side door was opened by a rider and the lock all doors button had been engaged. The red light was on to show doors were not locked. This has been an ongoing issue for several months now. I have an appointment at Ford garage 09/13/22.

Problem with the computer for dash. Was worked on at Ford dealership in Lexington ky and had to borrow money with the lender that was already financing the vehicle for me for repairs. They was unable to repair it but still charged me almost $1,800.

The rear taillight socket melted due to excessive heat. This has happened twice to the same vehicle. Once in 05/2019. At the time, a dealer service center recommended replacing the junction box, a $700 repair. The same issue has occurred again.

While driving car makes severe roaring/ humming noise. Also while driving making turns or not making turns the car jerks uncontrollably. My door sensor will not recognize whether or not my front driver door is closed, so while I'm driving down the road it says my driver door is open. There is a recall that I was never notified about on the suspension; front hub, . I've contacted my local prater Ford & Ford Motor Company with no help. Rear tail light bulbs are melting, several times now, after doing research it seems to be happening to a lot of people, so I see it as a safety issue. Which triggered the check engine light to come on as well. This happened on or about 12/15/2020. Then the bearings an began to shake and wobble badly. From the contaminates amd salts. I am really having difficulties with my vehicle and im in meed of help badly. Now as of 1/5/2021 my car has started to fish tail showing the sway bar is giving out

The contact owns a 2008 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 mph, the instrument panel ceased to operate, the headlamps failed to remain illuminated and the vehicle independently decelerated with the air bags warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over for several minutes before driving to an auto zone store to have the vehicle diagnosed. There was no dtc codes retrieved. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not contacted or notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 98,000.

I had the lift gate open loading groceries and it all of a sudden released and came down and striking my head and neck and I quickly pushed it back up and it just dropped down again before I could get myself clear striking me again, it got my neck and shoulder. I took it to dealership and was first was told it was a problem for the body shop, but they quickly determined it was an electrical problem. The lift gate is very heavy and I do have to see a doctor for the persistent pain in the neck and shoulder. The vehicle was stationary in the parking lot of the grocery store.there wasn't a vehicle accident but I did receive an injury to my neck and shoulder, extent to be determined. Consumer stated when driving vehicle starts to shake. Vehicle was taken to the dealer, PCM melted two igniton coils and new computer replaced.

Battery light stayed on during a 4.5 hour trip. After reaching the end of the trip, the battery cables were found to be corroded. Noticed theterminal protector has melted. Used distilled water to fill the acid level in the battery, some was spilled on the positive battery cable connection(from battery to power of underhood fuse box), it sizzled from being hot! after filling the battery, the batt. Light stayed off for another 3 hours of trip, and lit up again. Had the battery tested, battery was found to be defective. R&R the battery, battery light is on again. No driveability issues, just concerned about, what is causing resistance in electrical charging system, and possible "fire"!

2008 Ford Edge sel....with 6F50 transmission....165000 miles.... vehicle shifts externally hard from 3rd to 4th gear with a hard jerk and load klunk, so much so that it has started causing me neck problems from tensing up in anticipation of the jerk. Also 2 twice up going from park to drive, had an extremly load noise in transmission that shook the entire vehicle and as I attempted to accelerate the RPM rose but the car barely eased forward and the transmission sounded as though it were in a bind. I then put it in park, turned the ignition off, pulled out the key, open and shut the door as to pretend I was exiting, then put key back into ignition, started the car, put it in gear (no problem) and accelerated as normal (no problem), except when it shifted from 3rd to 4th which is around 25mph. I have not and do not have any lights on in the instrument display panel nor do I have any error codes showing. Macanic says it would be an expensive shot in the dark to start randomly changing out sensors and changing out transmission would not solve the problem as it is not an issue with the mechanics of the transmission but an electrical issue. I've also tried a hard reboot to the cars electrical system to possibly clear any stored electrical issues, problem still exists!!! definitely a recall needed, due to safety issues while driving and physical conditions that could arise from the tensing up in expectation of the hard jerk......

I was driving down the road and the truck lost all power. The only choice I had was to steer the wheel to a safe position on the side of the road. When the happened the doors were locked windows were closed shut I was almost unable to get of the truck safely. Also I was driving down the road after get a new set of tires and the truck began to make a scrubbing sound as if the wheels was grinding against something nothing was there. I remember a recall on the wheel hub and I have had the truck for about 2 years and I don't recall getting the problem repaired but my VIN returns back no active recalls and I can not help but wonder if there is an error.

Vehicle initially would not accelerate beyond 10 mph then completely lost power in the middle of rush hour traffic. Local repair center reported issues with PCM and was unable to fix it. Sent it to a Ford dealer who confirmed issues with PCM that damaged the body throttle, 3 engine coils, and other parts. Had to replace PCM and parts damaged by it resulting in a $2894.10 repair bill. The following day after repair, was again in the middle of rush hour traffic and the vehicle completely loss power again. This is a serious safety concern and based on research, a lot of people are experiencing the same thing. Ford need to recall this issue. I'm so thankful my child was not in the vehicle during these events.

I own a 2008 Ford Edge limited I am having the same problem as some people on here are with the wrench 🔧 light also a air bag light comes on and I have almost had an accident because the car speedometer stops working and the car shifts super hard it seems to be happening more frequently I did my research on Ford website for finding out the problem and it's a glitch this is a huge safety concern when trying to avoid an accident from occurring also you can't even view the speed I think this should be investigated and recalled because I it can create a unsafe environment to not only my vehicle but others as well.

Both the rear tail/stop light bulb sockets melt from extreme bulb heat. This issue is posted by others all over the internet. This is a potential fire hazard that seriously needs addressing by Ford. In the past I replaced the right rear bulb which is when I discovered the issue. Yesterday I had to replace the left rear bulb and discoverd that socket too is melted along with the base of the bulb itself.

While driving down the road, the odometer suddenly drops to zero while still moving at the posted speed limit. The wrench symbol warning light in the dash comes on, as well as the airbag light. The mileage is then cleared, and the dash reads "odo error". pulled over, turned off the vehicle and removed the key from the ignition. Go to turn the vehicle back on, car starts normally, all the warning lights are cleared. Put the vehicle into reverse, and hear and feel a loud "clunk" as the vehicle shifts, and am able to back up normally. When shifting back into drive, the rpms jump up, the car shifts and makes the loud "clunk", and when pushing the accelerator, the vehicle barely moves. It will occasionally come back and the vehicle will return to it's normal running state, but then it will eventually returned to the defective state. No odometer while driving, no power if you stop leaving you stranded.
