I am upset over the smell of the Ford. I though it was a recall went to the dealership they told me it was not a recall but I swear I saw it as a recall. 2012 Ford is a recall for the same thing I am experiencing with the 2008 Ford. It is the gasoline, maybe it smells really bad.
Well it is at the dealership now, I could only imagine how much this is going to cost. The only reason I brought it in was I thought it was a recall. I am very upset.

Ford is really pissing me off. My 2008 Ford Edge is on recall due to gas tank. The dealer has had my car since December 2014 and Ford still can't tell me when the part will be available to fix my car. Instead of giving me a vehicle comparable to what I have, I get a car because Ford is not required to give me anything comparable. If that is what I want, I have to pay for it when it is Ford's fault for the recall?
I decided to call Ford in Michigan again and I hung up on them. All I wanted to know was when the part would start becoming available to fix vehicles....since I did not have my VIN number, they couldn't give me any information. I am sorry, you have had my Edge since December and can't give me an idea when my part will be available since I had no VIN number. I'm sorry, it is at one of your dealerships.
Oh, also, when the vehicle went to recall, none of the salesmen at the dealership knew nothing about it. How do you have a recall and not tell your employees? Really Ford, you are losing customers and I may be one of them.
Update from Aug 27, 2015: After complaint to ford headquarters the part was sent to my dealer to fix my edge 7.5 months later
