While driving car makes severe roaring/ humming noise. Also while driving making turns or not making turns the car jerks uncontrollably. My door sensor will not recognize whether or not my front driver door is closed, so while I'm driving down the road it says my driver door is open. There is a recall that I was never notified about on the suspension; front hub, . I've contacted my local prater Ford & Ford Motor Company with no help. I have the work order # from prater Ford where we tried to resolve this problem, it is work order # 80025 on March 12, 2018. Their number is 706-629-2883 ask to speak to ashley P.; service provider.

Rear tail light bulbs are melting, several times now, after doing research it seems to be happening to a lot of people, so I see it as a safety issue. My turn signal went out and went to replace it and discovered the bulb was melted into the socket. (this happened three times now, I'm trying to figure out the issue. (it may be a factory electrical design fluke)also ive began to lose gas andvit is not remaining in the gas tank. It has caused my gas light to come on. Which triggered the check engine light to come on as well. This happened on or about 12/15/2020. Then the bearings an began to shake and wobble badly. From the contaminates amd salts. I am really having difficulties with my vehicle and im in meed of help badly. Now as of 1/5/2021 my car has started to fish tail showing the sway bar is giving out

Well this is been recalled. On other 2008 Ford. Edge but I think my 2008 Ford Edge should be in that recall I recently bought my Edge from a used dealer all the safety issues and recalls my Ford Edge has my has all of the issues my Ford Edge went in for tire rotation and oil change when they returned my car I left the shop and then realized the front tire is vibrating when driven slowly and turns I called Ford to ask if my car was one of the ones on the recall list for bearing recall and the said no I know this was not an issue till now and im afraid to drive my car due to this recall I feel my car should be included also of course the tranny is definitely not working correctly when also driving slowly it jerks terribly in to another gear. Serval times I have avoided car accidents by having to brake abruptly cause the car to get stuck in that gear and me having to suddenly forcing the car to pull over to side of busy 5 O clck traffic and turn off car and restart it to engage the gears to the next one I have backed into my fence do to this sudden jerking without warning and have damaged my back bumper due to this issue and that my car is not been recall due to these issues. First time I buy american and first-time I hate my car now im stuck making payment on a car that has so many issues and un able to drive safely I making payment for the next 17 months for a car I cant drive and I will never buy american again also the brakes a grinding and squeeling and since I have ABS brakes system shouldnt the warning light be warning me before they actually start sounding like grinding to pieces of metal together I feel my car should be one of the one that should get recalled for issues other cars have been recalled for the same issues and this started since 6/16 /2018 and has been everyday since and im also still waiting to get the air bag recall fixed its been over a year

In making a right hand turn, the steering wheel became uncontrollable and impossible to straighten out causing the vehicle to continue in its turning radius and crash into a sign on the sidewalk. The vehicle was transported to a salvage yard. I am of the belief that the ball joint failed. We have always maintained the car at Ford authorized dealerships and even replaced the ball joints recently. This car has a propensity for failing ball joints. While driving on a city street at approximately 30mph, we drove over a standard manhole cover and there was an immediate banging noise above the front driver's side wheel and the section of the hood closest to the windshield was pushed up about 6 inches. We pulled over and could see the strut pressing up against the hood. The vehicle was towed to a mechanic shop where we learned that the entire strut tower had broken through the strut support due to a catastrophic failure of the spot welds that were connecting the upper strut mount cap to the vehicle body. The tow truck driver nor the mechanic had ever seen this kind of structural failure. We are grateful that we were not on the highway when this incident occurred, and we are eager for the issue to be looked into further to determine if this is a structural defect of the 2008 Ford Edge that could further affect our or other families' vehicle safety.

Had been noticing loud roaring sound from right rear of vehicle. Drove from Ohio to Florida (1,000 miles) & got worse/louder... took it to local Ford mechanic who informed known issue in these cars is the rear wheel hub assembly fails, once replaced just fails again. Noise is incredibly noticeable and not just annoying but scary to me & any passengers. Obviously a manufacturer's defect, ticked Ford's not covering it.

Noise coming from the right, rear wheel area at various speeds. Sounds like a light rumble strip sound and a light squealing/grinding also. Took it to a local mechanic who says the bearings are bad. Ford needs to do something about this issue. It's seems to be an existing problem on these Edges and recurring problems as well.

On Saturday, November 16th. Between the hours of 5pm and 7pm, while driving, we were heard a "popping" noise from the front of the car. We also noticed the windshield cracking and thought the noise was from the window cracking. When we arrived home, the car was in the garage sitting and we heard the car "pop" again. The same thing happened Sunday while going to church and home. Monday morning on the 19th, my wife parked in the school parking lot to attend a school meeting and when she came out, the hood was up and the front was popped up. We took it to the local Ford dealer and they indicated that the strut tower failed. The mechanic indicated I would not be able to drive it because it was a safety risk. They were surprised that my wife was able to drive and glad that it did not totally fail. It was indicated that the metal on the frame of the strut tower fatigued and it caused the strut tower to pop up. I have pictures if anyone would like it. The vehicle mileage at the time of incident is an estimate. It may be a little less.

While driving my 2008 Ford Edge, a roaring type noise comes from the rear of the unit. As you accelerate to noise grows in volume. At first it appeared to me as "road noise" I changed pressures in the tires and rotated the front to the rear. Nothing changes. After researching the problem, it appears that it is the rear wheel bearings. According to Ford the bearing hub and the rear suspension trailing arm/knuckle assembly must also be changed on the affected side. The trailing arm causes to much pressure on the bearings and wipes them out. Also the wheels have to be re-aligned due to the installation of the new trailing arm. Ford states that just changing only the bearing hub will cause the problem to happen again. If the bearing fails this could cause a serious accident with the potential of serious injury or worse to the occupants of this vehicle and anyone else as a result of this failure.this appears to be a possible problem with the design of the suspension system and not normal wear and tear. I purchased this vehicle used in late November 2012. As I drove it longer the noise in the rear has gotten louder and louder.
