Ford Edge: I was stopped at a standard 4 way intersection. My light turned green and I entered to go straight through. Cadillac cts: From left going approx. 45-50 mph, ran their red. Collision at 90 to Ford's front driver's side wheel and Cadillac's front passenger side. Impact spun Ford to approx. 300 from initial direction. Cadillac's front airbags deployed. No deployment from Ford. Ford driver struckdriver's side window resulting in concussion.

I was driving down the hwy when I hit a deer. Didn't have time to break, driving 55mph when the impact occurred, total front end damage. The air bag in my vehicle did not deploy. I was lucky that the deer didn't come through the windshield, if so bodily damages would have been astronomical considering the air bag did not diploy during a 55 mph impact causing total front end damage to my Ford Edge, it was undrivable from the scene of accident. How does a air bag not diploy during a impact causing so much front end damage the vehicle wasunable to be driven from the scene?

In a head on collision with a telephone pole, the air bags did not deploy. The electrical would just shut down. Brakes were acting strange. All while moving.

Earlier this month (August 2016) the passenger airbag warning light remained lit on my 2012 Ford Edge. Brought to stevens Ford in milford ct. Told it that the sensor wire/device was "frayed" and needed to be replaced. Repair person said that it was caused by the seat moving back/forth. Was not covered under warranty. Cost to fix was over $400. My issue is that the front passenger seat is barely used. The sensor/wire should not have been "frayed" by minimal use. Was told if I didn't fix that the airbag may not deploy properly. There is a flaw in their design if this sensor is in an area where it can be damaged easily.

While traveling in Mexico, I hit a black steer standing in the middle of the road at night. It was a full frontal collision. It wrapped itself around the complete front and both sides of my vehicle before coming up on the hood. It also broke the windshield. Neither the airbags nor the side curtains deployed. I had it sent to a Ford dealer, per the request of Ford Motor Company. They reported that the airbag system was working just fine. That's very peculiar. The fact remains that in a full frontal collision the airbags did not work and I no longer feel safe traveling in that vehicle. I called the NHTSA on 4/9/15 at 1-888-327-4236 and talked to [xxx] who gave me a complaint #10704792 and said someone would be contacting me within 72 hours. Nobody has contacted me to this day. The vehicle is at herron' auto body in san diego, ca. Ph: 619-281-4801. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The contact owns a 2012 Ford Edge. While driving at 48 mph, the contact crashed into an animal and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact did not sustain any injuries. The front passenger sustained bruises that did not require medical attention. The rear driver side passenger sustained foot injuries that required medical attention. The contact was unsure if a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer who was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000. Updated 5/29/15 the consumer stated the dealer advised the vehicle operated as designed. Updated 11/6/15

Passenger air bag turns off and then back on after from one to 30 minutes or more while driving dealer-no trouble found. Reported multiple times. Dealer finally replaced sensor module 2/17/14. Was better, but still failed when my friend who weighs 110 pounds was in the seat. Dealer replaced passenger seat tracks on 5/19/15. Better, but still failed. Back to dealer on 6/17/14 and again on 9/18/14. Finally said the system was working as designed even though my friend weighs 110 pounds. The owner's manual says that the air bag should be off when the seat is occupied by a small child. My friend is not a small child and always wears her shoulder and lap belt. The system worked perfectly for the first 29,000 miles and then started failing. The bad part is that the side air bags are disabled anytime the passenger air bag is off, thus she would have no protection in any kind of a roll over accident. The final words from the dealer are, "unable to find any problem with the system operation. Occupant determined to be small in stature causing system to deactivate. Reviewed with fse who is in agreement at this time". this is certainly a safety problem that should be addressed. The dealer won't say, or can't get any answer from engineering as to the minimum weight in the passenger seat to activate the air bag system. There must be a spec that all cars must meet.
