The contact owns a 2012 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the front passenger side seat belt pinned the passenger to the seat if there was too much movement. The passenger had to disconnect the seat belt and reconnect it in order for the seat belt to function properly. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for a diagnosis and the contact was informed that there was nothing they could because the seat belts were designed that way. The manufacturer was notified, but offered no assistance. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure and current mileages were 15,000.
