Driver's seat began to rock back and forth with vehicle motion. Seat is power with memory. Dealer states that its a known issue with no recall or tsb. Quoted $1600 for replacement. Seat has now began to move forward under braking conditions, and aft under acceleration. This is an unsafe condition that could be a major contributing factor to an accident. Upon inspection of the seat track, the guide rails have began seperating and have become loose.

Seat real ease for rear seats doesn't work. Reading forums multiple people have issue and the fix requires removing seats and replacing the cable on the release mechanism. Due to safety concerns I didn't want to remove and replace seat by myself.

Drivers seat rocks backwards about 5 inches upon acceleration and rocks forward when stopping. When it rocks backwards you feel as if the seat is going to go over backwards and you panic for a second before recovering. This is going to cause an accident. This is a common problem with Ford Edge driver seats.

Passenger door ajar light comes on when door is shut. The doors will not stay locked because of this. Unsafe to stop at light or parking as anyone can open the passenger door and get in. Driver side door ajar fixed under extended warranty yrs ago- same issue now again. Driver power seat rocks backwards when getting in or if solid stops- very unsafe as you are not in control of car when it's rocking- fearful that it will brake loose. Quote from dealer was $1600! I paid extra when buying car for leather and power seats- they should not break and should be covered by Ford

The driver's seat rocks when accelerating or braking, as if it has come loose. I have taken car to my mechanic to have it repaired, he says there is nothing loose for him to tighten. Has been doing this for the last several months.

Driver seat rocks back and forth when accelerating and braking. It has been doing this periodically for the past year. Seems to be a regular complaint for this vehicle but there is not a recall.

The driver side seat is now rocking- forward when brakes are applied and backwards when gas is applied. The seat is no longer moving into all of the positions it is supposed to. This just started happening the last few days. It has not been taken to the dealer yet and online there are many complaints of the same issue- since the Edge was first made all models are incurring this. If the seats break then that could be disastrous.

The drivers seat rocks/shifts back and forth when taking off and stopping. After doing research this has come up as a common issue with similar Ford in the past few years. Seems to be the 'seat track', it has been identified as a faulty item on Ford Edge models all the way from very beginning of vehicles hitting the market,
