On April 9, 2021 we found the seatbelt buckle would not latch on the rear passenger side. I notified the Ford dealership on Monday, April 12, the service representative scheduled me to bring the Edge in on April 22. On further inspection I found the seatbelt buckle to be broken. I called the dealership the next day and was told to bring it in and leave it to be serviced. The service technician inspected the seatbelt buckle and found it inoperable due to the inner guts of the buckle being broken. A replacement part has been ordered by the dealership. The vehicle has not been in any accidents and this occurred with normal operating conditions. The Edge has approximately 56,000 miles.

This vehicle was involved in an accident when another vehicle crossed its path going the wrong way on a one way street. This Ford Edge struck the Ford F150 broadside at approximately 30+ mph at about a 20 degree angle drivers side hood and fender and windshield broken. The steering wheel air bag did not deploy, and the knee bolster did not deploy fully. This caused serious injuries to the driver.

My children and I were in a collision that was so bad the car was totaled. Sometime in the middle of the collision the driver seat belt and the passager's seat belt behind the driver came unclipped. We were wearing them and the proof is on our chests from the burn. However, if a heavy vehicle had hit us from behind my son and I would have been thrown from the car because of this. My daughter's seat belt (back passager behind front passenger seat) did not unclip. Just the two on the driver's side.
