Escape XLT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 265,000 miles

This was a major problem due to the fact that the alarm kept beeping because the window was ajar. Didn't have any option but to get it repaired as soon as possible,. I'm sure this is a real problem with all 2001 Escapes as we have 2 Escapes that have had the same problem within a month of each other. Seems like it should have a recall since the windows are a major part of the vehicle.

Escape XLT 3.0L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 89,000 miles

I realize my escape is 10 years old and I've had my share of issues BUT this one is proving to be the biggest pain. I cannot find a replacement rear window hinge anywhere. I took the old one off to see if I could get the part# and the numbers on it don't match up to any ford part #. i haven't tried the dealer...yet..... since I really don't want to pay $50 or $100 for one hinge IF they can even get it. VERY ANNOYING
