problem #2

Escape XLS 2.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,000 miles

The car was purchased from a car dealer and the same week the A/C broke. It was a pain to drive an hour commute to college in the spring time with no A/C.

problem #1

Escape XLT 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 57,000 miles

I took my 2007 Ford Escape to the dealership I bought it from because the a/c went out. It was still under warranty. They patched it up and sent me on my way without replacing anything. The second time I took it in for the same problem, they replaced the clutch, pulley, and coil. They did not charge me at that time cause it was the same problem as the first time. The third time I took it in was 08/14/10. This time they would not fix it and charged me $1100.00 to replace the compressor. My vehicle only had 57,000 miles on it and they would not stand behind their ineffectiveness to handle the problem in the first place. In fact, the dealership said it was Ford's problem, not theirs, yet they represent Ford by selling their vehicles!!! I think it is robbery without the mask!!!
