Escape Limited 4WD 3.0L Duratec V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 17,000 miles

I drove the vehicle all last winter and never noted any antifreeze odor until this season. It is most noticeable when you first turn on the heater and then it dissipates. I suspect there is a small leak in the heater core because the coolant level has not dropped (yet). I'm not all all happy with this issue, for it's conducive to much older vehicles that have not been well maintained or have been parked for extended periods. Since it's still under warranty, I plan to get it back into the dealer's shop ASAP.
