Escape 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,243 miles

I bought a 2014 Ford Escape, now I am totally upset due to the air noise. I feel like my window glass is not closed fully. Such an annoying noise. Performance of the car is good.

Escape

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50 miles

I purchased the car as a new vehicle. The 2nd time I drove it, I heard a slight wind noise. This noise grew worse every time I drove the car. The dealership replaced the rubber seal in the driver window, and realigned the doors. I purchased wind visors. The wind noise is still quite annoying. My local dealership states that they have had 25 Ford Escape owners coming in and complaining about the wind noise. All models of escapes are impacted. They believe that the shape of the car is causing outside noise and that the level of the wind noise is acceptable. I wonder how the escape passed the wind noise test at the factory. I bought the escape because it drove quiet in the cars I test drove. It is ironic that it has turned out to be the loudest car I have ever driven.
