problem #1

Feb 032021

Escape LS 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 53,000 miles

The car has automatic engine stop, and this causes engine to go silent during stops. Then the engine revs up, after the driver takes their foot off the brake, and you can proceed. The problem started when the engine light showed engine stopped requiring me to restart the engine. Meanwhile I am parked at a stoplight with a green light with much bigger vehicles approaching behind my car with horns on high. This is extremely dangerous as the speed limit through the light is 55 miles an hour and big trucks are estimating their stopping distance.
