Escape Titanium 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,300 miles

When the car had about 18,000 miles, the dealer did an inspection and said the pads and rotors were deteriorated and needed to be replaced at a cost of over $1,000 and warranty did not cover because it was past 18 months and warranty for brakes doesn’t cover after that. Fortunately Ford was contacted and they agreed to cover it minus a copay. Fast forward another 17 months, and the car has 4,000 more miles and we took it to be inspected and now they say the same thing, only the cost is $600 instead of $1,000. Seems to me a new car with 20,000 miles ought to not go through two sets of brakes in less than three years.
