Escape Hybrid

After driving approx 1 hour on the highway, my 2007 ford escape hybrid shut off. Warning light came on displaying: motor temp high. Then, stop safely. Considering I was in the middle of the road in Lancaster, CA, the 2nd warning statement was quite un-nerving. When I finally made it to the shoulder of the road, I opened the hood, nothing was overheating, no steam, coolant levels normal. The vehicle started again without issue. When I was heading back to Los Angeles the car did the same thing 6 more times. Only once did the display read "High Temperature". Until then I was not sure what was going on. There should be a temperature display!! Sure enough my car needs a new cooling pump and a new cooling fan kit.

While driving the car will shut down due to overheating. Even on the freeway. You get no warning, just shuts down. Really dangerous. On top of that, I'm hearing this is a common problem and Ford knows about it. Keep all records and receipt as this my result in legal action.
