Escape Hybrid

The electric power steering stopped working 3 times while driving my daughter had to put the flasher on and muscle the car to the side of the road the last time she was almost hit by another car. At the same time the radio and fdim would come on erratically and really loud. Took the car to larry H miller Ford in slc Utah they charged her $90 which she never agreed to, reprogrammed the car only and replaced no parts. Larry miller Ford sent my daughter out with a car that is not safe, the radio and fdim still go off and on in a startling fashion and knowing that this problem will most likely occur again. I just want the car fixed so all safety hazards are addressed.

While driving on the interstate, the vehicle lost propulsion and required the driver to pull off to the side of the road and restart the vehicle twice in a distance of five (5) miles. After speaking with a service technician at our local Ford dealership, he indicated that the issue is a problem with the throttle body. Apparently, this is an continual issue on this model and I was also informed this part (throttle body) is currently on a "national" back order. I would think that if this specific part is on a 'national" backorder, Ford should issue a recall because it is obvious there is a problem.
