problem #4

Aug 302012

Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 122,250 miles

The instrument panel is awful, the odometer keeps going out. Different lights keep coming on such as airbag, brake, etc. Sometimes they stay on, other times they come on and go out.

Expedition Eddie Bauer

Electrical system is "haywire". Had alternator replaced - went out. Had new one installed (thank god for warranty) and then new battery installed at mechanic suggestion. Left me stranded repeatedly!!! Fixed problem for about 3 days - now it's back. Co-worker has a 2000 Expedition with same problem! Hers has not shut down yet. My problem has been deemed electrical and I was told to get a new vehicle. Want to repair and keep it! Any suggestions?
