We had a 2005 Chevy Impala. After my wife gave birth to my third child it was time to purchase a much larger vehicle. I decided I would buy her the best vehicle I could afford. So I went looking and found a 2003 Expedition. In 2011 on christmas morning I surprised her with it and she was very very happy. For a while it was a good vehicle. Then the front ac went out in the middle of the summer in south mississippi. The temperature is one thing but the humidity makes it ten times worse in these parts. I had her take it to our mechanic and he said he couldnt figure out why it was not blowing. Everything was coming on except the blower and it was good. It also stopped blowing cold at the same time it went out so using the rear ac to cool the vehicle was not even an option. It drives me crazy to see my wife and daughters sweating from this problem that no one knows how to fix. PLEASE HELP ME so my babies dont have to sweat any more!! I feel awful because I cant figure out how to fix it or I would!

The A/C will not work in the cool position, and the heater is the same way. You must put it (the dial) in the middle position for any air (which is lukewarm) to come out of vents. We live in the south, endure 115 degree heat, and so it is a problem when the a/c that accounts for 75% of the car breaks. We have never gotten it fixed.

We have this problem every time we go on a long trip during the summer. The AC will work fine at high speed, if we lower the blower speed for a while and then try to move it to high the blower will not fully engage. Every time we have gone to the dealer (while under warranty) they have not been able to duplicate the problem, now duh! They don't drive it for an hour or on a long trip. This is the 4th time we have taken it in for the same problem to the same dealership. Amazing this time they think they have found the problem and want to charge me $585 for the repair work. We are no longer under warranty. I have documentation and plan on fighting these charges, maybe I will sit in the showroom informing new car buyers what to expect from the service department.

I was charged $400.00 to get my ac to work more than 30 minutes I dont think I should have to pay for something that was not wired right to begin with after paying over $30,000 for a car
