Expedition XLT 5.4L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 118,000 miles

My wife bought this truck with only 4 miles on it. At 60k, rack and pinion begin to go crazy. Couldn't turn the wheel. Took it to the mechanic and he couldn't find any thing wrong with. Cyphered out all the transmission fluid, put in Lucas transmission slip stuff. It acted OK.

At 88k, the car would drive then stall out at stops. Took it into the shop and had the erg valve replaced. $600 bucks there. Now the transmission is shifting hard in 1st and 2nd causing o/d light to flash. I changed the transmission fluid and the filter and still having problems. Had a mechanic come look at it. He couldn't find anything wrong with it. Of course in calling dealership and other transmission shops, they say it a transmission and would cost $2500 to put in.

Called into Ford Headquarters amongst other communications, and they treat you like nothing! Paid over $50k for the vehicle and want to now simply enjoy. Very, very ticked off and will not buy another Ford.
