Twice yesterday, my 2006 Ford Expeditions brakes locked up completely. Both times, I was sliding on ice. Everything completely seized up on me and only unlocked when the vehicle came to a complete stop. (No, I am not talking about the brakes pulsating from the anti lock brakes, the brakes and accelerator froze up solid.) The mechanic at the dealership agrees that it is dangerous and should not happen; but Ford is saying that the new Advance Track is doing what it should. I cannot have my car seizing up on me every time I slip on a little ice. I live in northern Idaho in the mountains, driving on ice is part of living here. When you slip on ice, the worst thing you can do is apply the brakes. When I slip, my brakes completely lock up. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I only have 6200 miles on this vehicle. Prior to this 2006, I had a 2003 Expedition and never had any problems.
