The contact owns a 2015 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that the rear passenger side seat belt buckle failed to release, and often became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the seat belt buckle failed and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer stated that the part for the repair was on back order for several months. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.
