Expedition EL Limited 3.5L V6 Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,454 miles

We purchased our Expedition in early 2021, and within 30 days it developed a grinding sound when turning left or right which continually got worse over the course of about a year. We gave up on taking it back to the dealer we purchased it from (Volvo of Winston-Salem), and took it to our local Ford dealer (Stearns Ford). It took them 3 tries to diagnose the bearings in the rear differential had gone bad. After an extended, several week wait for the back ordered parts, we were able to take it back to the Ford dealer and they rebuilt the rear differential. The problem has not come back since they rebuilt it in June.
