engine turns over but won't start

I had a problem every now and again I go out to start my truck and it wont turn over or anything. It just clicks. I have already replaced the starter solenoid on the top end. next it will be the starter. But tis quite impossible when I need to get somewhere I cant get there. But then the next day go down and the freakin thing starts right up. I don't get it!! Don't the starters go out all at once? Not slowly..... I don't know Guess Imma try the starter next, Thank god for 5-speed vehicles. Gimme a hill and it WILL START!!!

It would randomly fail to start, based on how bad you need to get somewhere. When your need to get it started it would go away, then it would start.

Explorer Limited V6

Engine turns over, won't start... tried so much I burned out the starter and had to have replaced... then drove around for a few days and did the asme thing. left it for two weeks in front of school... had towed, finally, and it worked on arrival at garage, but got the tune I thought it needed anyway. Drove for two days.. has been parked at home for a week or two because I try it every couple of days and it doesn't work. So far I've found out that it could any one of the following... dirty, clogged fuel injectors (and whole system)... the transmission, or some belt or other... So far, I have fixed two things I was told were the problem and they were not, what if I go get a new transmission and it wasn't that either? Anyone have any ideas?
