2000 Ford Explorer accelerator pedal became stuck causing a surge of acceleration. As a result the consumer's wife went thur a garage door.

While driving on the highway the vehicle began decelerating/not responding to pedal application. The consumer exited the vehicle and noticed that the accelerator pedal was dangling buy a pin, a Ford trouble shooter met the consumer and patched the pedal so the vehicle could be taken to the dealer.

Vehicle was at a stop sign and suddenly accelerated into another vehicle. Brakes and both airbags deployed, and consumer hurt his head. The accelerator and brake pedal were very close together that it was easy to depress both simultaneously causing the vehicle to accelerate instead of slowing down.
