Im so sick of Ford and have taken a vow to never ever again in my life purchase another Ford vehicle again!!! I have been without my 2005 Ford Explorer for about 2months now and is still making car notes on it. The truck barely have 52,000 miles on it and for no reason at all, the truck would not start...no stalling, no jerking, no power loss....nothing!!!! just all of a sudden, it gave out. I had to get the truck towed ($80) from Indiana back to Dolton, IL. The next morning, I get it towed again ($60) to a auto shop (truck is out of warranty by this time) They told me that the fuel pump went out and needed a new one. I purchase a new fuel pump for $230, paid $150 in labor, still the same problem. I tow it again ($60) to another mechanic, I'm told that the fuel pump that was just replaced was bad again, he recommended a Ford fuel pump instead of a generic one, I do so by paying them $700 to fix. Same problem, I get it towed again ($60) to the Ford Dealer service and I am told that the PCM and Wiring harness is corroded (how, I don't know b/c its never been in a flood by me or the 1st owner). They told me that it would be $1800 to fix. I choose not to fix b/c I had ran out of money!!! Ford puts a MAV sensor and Throttle body position sensor on....Still nothing. At this point, Ford dealer tells me that I have to pay for the labor(with the problem still not fixed)....that cost $500. So, I again get it towed ($100) to another Ford Service department thinking that maybe I just went to a bad service store for a second opinion. I am told that the PCD, wiring harness and fuel shut-off switch w/the wiring to that has to be replaced and "THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THIS WILL FIX THE PROBLEM" I am told by a "Certified Ford Service Mechanic" He really doesnt know what the problem is with my truck...but the F*`^ed up part is he's quoting me a price of $2500 and thats not a definate, it could be more!!! All because of this Orange Wrench and Service Engine Soon lights and "ENGINE FAIL SAFE MODE"...To round it up, I have spent over: $2,000 with the issue still not fixed!!! THE FORD EXPLORER IS A PIECE OF PURE GRADE-A CRAP!!!!!!!
