Explorer Limited 3.5L V6

Bought and owned in a southern state and have rust along the bottom of all the doors. Corrosion warranty only when it makes holes through body. Haven't owned a car with rust issues since the 1970's. Faulty design where metal is folded over at bottom of doors and water can accumulate after rain. Will definitely factor in our decision in purchase of next vehicle. Shame in Ford Motor Company. Expensive vehicle and rusting. Blah

Noticed recently when closing my trunk that there are two rust spots under the metal strip that runs across the back (under the Ford logo). Wondering if anyone else is having this paint/rust issue on their 2012 Explorer. The dealer said there's a 5 year paint warranty so I'm hoping there won't be any issue having this issue fixed.
