recently bought this car from the dealer. four days later while driving on the highway 65mph the traction button light went off and I got a display on the dashboard saying service traction now. I simply pressed ok and kept driving since weather condition where good. about 10 mns later my directional lights stopped working, to switch lanes I had to hold the handle. so I take the next exit to inspect the problem but then my steering got stiff, too stiff to drive the car any further. I was stranded with my family 4 hrs away from our home. called the dealer had it towed and was informed that there was a recall for the steering. the other issues were not part of the recall but were going to be fixed. as I researched I founded out that they just reset things. anyway one week later I get the car back and two days later I get another darn message on my dashboard saying terrain management fault and the traction button light was off again. argh!!!!!@##$&IJU()P.

at this point iam at the process of getting another car. it appears that ford explorers from 2012-2014 had multiple problems.
