Explorer Sport 3.5L Ecoboost V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 76,000 miles

This is in association with error code P0016, Crankshaft and Camshaft Correlation Error. Dealer currently has the vehicle and confirmed that the timing chain is stretched. Research on replacement costs can be in upwards of $3500. There is also a TSB(15-0131) on the 3.5L Ecoboost V6 engines in the 2011 - 2014 Ford F150. Research has shown that those with the Ford Flex with the Ecoboost V6 and Ford Taurus with the same motor have the same issue. This issue is also noticeable during engine startup with a rattle in the front of the engine
