problem #2

Explorer

  • Automatic transmission
  • 83,500 miles

When is Ford going to take responsibility for this issue? Seems they accepted 2 previous year issues. Does the media need to be notified there are potential disasters waiting to happen.

Explorer XLT

  • Automatic transmission
  • 69,000 miles

When turning, the steering catches briefly, & when I turn a bit harder it lets loose & it jerks. I was told by my mechanic that it needs a whole rack & pinion steering unit to the tune of about $1600. He said there have been many complaints about this & Ford did a recall on 2011 to 2014 Explorers - but so far, none on my 2015.
