The contact owns a 2017 Ford Explorer. While driving 70 mph and accelerating, there was an abnormal exhaust odor seeping into the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (ennis Ford, Inc, 900 N interstate highway 45, ennis, tx 75119, (972) 875-90670) where it was diagnosed that the vents near the rear wheel housing needed to be adjusted. The contact stated that the holes in the vehicle were taped and a carbon monoxide detector was installed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified and provided case number: Cas15355086. The failure mileage was 30,000. The VIN was not available.
