problem #1

Explorer Sport Trac 3.2lV6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

Engine misses and dies, won't start, tries to, after some time, 5 to 15 minutes it starts. Acts short fuel then takes off fine and runs up to 170 miles and starts doing it again. Computer shows replace fuel filter. I DID. Replace fuel sensor. I DID.

I have little money and the next thing is the fuel pump. What do you think. It sure seems like a wire to me. When it does start it seems to have a problem getting the shift lever into drive. Help.
