blown head gaskets causing repeated overhauls

Beautiful vehicle that I purchased from my brother for a good deal. It had 139000 miles on it and seemed in perfect condition. Soon, there was a problem with the radiator that caused it to clog up so bad I had to buy a new radiator. It continued to stall and had to be towed repeatedly, Replaced water pump, generator and miscellaneous parts in effort to remedy problems. Nothing worked. Finally had engine completely overhauled with everything new at a cost of $3000 +. NOTE: One side of engine had been worked on twice and other side zero; also discovered vehicle had Chevrolet spark plugs(?). Vehicle ran well for a few thousand miles, then started missing again. Replaced spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap system. Problems continued with computer now reporting injectors need replaced at cost of $530 (parts only). On furthur examination, discovered that head gasket was blown again. Befuddled, I talked to a certified Ford technician who told me that the 4.0 L engine had a flaw in it that was unrepairable and Ford Motors knew about it, but would not honor any problem or repair it because of the age of the vehicle and the miles (now 149000). Now, what can I do with this vehicle? Do I patch it up and unload this problem on someone else? Will the Ford Motor company give me a fair trade on another vehicle? What do you suggest? Help!
