Explorer Sport Trac Limited 4.6L V8

  • Automatic transmission

I have this on video, but I can't upload it to this website. My truck was parked in my driveway, with the emergency brake on. The emergency brake doesn't hold s*! I was inside eating dinner with my wife when there was a knock on my front door. I walked up, some woman said you know whose truck that is parked across the street? I said which truck, I turn around and looked, and it was my truck. Rolled out of my driveway across the street, stopped 12 in from hitting a Cadillac. My transmission found itself all of a sudden locked in "park", in the middle street, going nowhere. My video is off my home security systems cameras, I video taped it off the monitor.

Took it to Ford dealership near me, and showed my service guy the video. He said huh? I said huh? It was their only response. I want it fixed. Get this, they said they tried to duplicate my problem but they could not. I said "what did you do park it on a hill"? They said yes both upwards and downwards, we parked your truck and it wouldn't happen again. I said, well good luck getting that happen again. It happened one time in 13 f* years! Good luck getting to do it again. I said tear it apart, that's when you'll find the problem. They said, "we are not going to do anything to your transmission". I said why not? They said we don't have proof of there was a problem.

You shouldn't need more proof than a customer complaining about it. Plus my video! I'll take the truck back, but I'm not happy about it at all. Next time you can pay the lawsuit when someone gets killed by my truck rolling down a hill and killing them. Next time it's on Ford. Whatever happens. It's on Ford. Ford should be embarrassed about their handling of my truck. They should really be f* be SO embarrassed, they should do the right thing and repair, replace, rebuild my transmission. And I'm going to see that they do it. They have to! It's still under warranty, they have to do whatever is right!
