Dec 002012

Explorer Sport Trac Adrenaline V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

A year after purchasing the Sport Trac the rotor on the front left had to be replaced in 2010. The technician stated the factory parts were of poor quality. This happened again in 2011 where I had to replace the rotor and calipers, again in 2012 where I had to replace the rotor and caliper and again 2013. I will be submitting additional complaints for each incident.

I called the main office in Seattle working on getting reimbursed for the repairs (which I was eventually) and asked about any recalls or if there were any complaints and that it's unacceptable that these repairs had happened to a vehicle that was barely on the road a year. And oh, yea, I only drove the vehicle 20 miles a day to and from work so it wasn't due to wear and tear...... I spoke with the main office in Seattle, Wa again; hours of my time wasted. I can't tell you how disappointed I am with my experience with this Sport Trac and the lack of assistance I received from Ford.

The month and day of these issues are not reflected correctly in these complaints but the years are! These repairs can be confirmed through Ford as I was reimbursed for all repairs through Ford.
