It's 31 years old. What do you expect? I ended up replacing the Carb, with a 4 barrel, it still runs pretty rough. It will occasionally stall. I do constantly have to adjust the carb, otherwise I get black smoke, but that's more of a Holley issue, not a Ford issue...

i have tried every thing .It runs roughly-smokes(black)!! first i replaced the IGNITION SYSTEM in its entirety .that did not work.well let me tell why i did not start with the carb.because when i purchased the truck ''they said that the carb had already been rebuilt! bull shmit!anay way i then went into it anay way and found that it had jets the size of #2 pencil lead .so i changed them out .i have tried to adjust the carb a million times UHEUH. HELP ME PLEASE!
