At 102,000 miles the anti-lock brake system light came on. I took the vehicle to the Ford dealer and he said the whole anti-lock system had corroded and would have to be replaced to the tune of $1000. This was just after Ford had fixed ball joints and completely rusted emaergency brake cables under extended warranty at 99,900 miles.

ABS light commences to illuminate while driving 25 mph or more. Vehicle was taken to a repair shop, and mechanic determined that the ABS control module needed to be replaced due to corrosion. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified.
