F-150 Lariet 5.2L V8 Trinton

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

I purchased this used F150 which is a gorgeous truck with all the trimming- What I didn't know is that looks is only skin deep. Inside the engine is some deep problems. Had the vehicle for a year, had misfires and very sluggish. I took it to the dealership who does all my oil changes and he said the plugs needed replaced. I said fine being it was under extended warranty.

Another year went by and believe it or not the same symptoms started.again. I took it back to the dealership and they confirmed the plugs were again bad. I took out an extended warranty which the loan guy never told me 36K miles or 3 years whatever came first. I about blew my gasket. I had the truck for 2 years, drove over 12K a year (who doesn't do that any more). I put on the miles being I'm a contractor so I drive a lot. They said I was over 500 miles so they honored it. I still wasn't a happy camper knowing I paid 3K for an extended warranty which only lasted 2 years. I again was totally hot not being told, could have kept that money and used it for my plugs. Oh by the way my navigation went out within the 3 year period which was not covered--again another loss for me--

Now for the third time the plugs are blown again. 3 times in three years!!! This one is expected to cost $1200 or ???? depends on the outcome. Ford, the dealers, salesman all know about this notorious plug issues but we as consumers are the very last to know. It is not right, How can all these morons sleep at night knowing the truck they just sold WILL have plug issues. Ford should be held accountable for their flaws in design NOT the consumer. Salesman SHOULD tell the potential buyer about the problem no matter how sexy the truck looks. All in all anyone who purchased a Ford 150 in these years are all going to take a bath sooner or later. I'm almost ready to to total it out so no one has to deal with this problem like I've been. Nobody deserves to spend their hard working money on inferior products. Chey or Toyota is my next truck-- NO MORE FORDS
