F-150 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 500 miles
The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. While driving 10 mph, the vehicle accelerated to approximately 15 mph without warning when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact felt that the failure was caused by unintentionally depressing the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously. He also felt that the manufacturer designed the brake pedal too close to the accelerator pedal and that the accelerator pedal was mounted too high. The failure occurred on two other occasions. The dealer stated that the shoes he wore caused the failures. As of November 21, 2007, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. The failure mileage was 500 and current mileage was 1,700. *updated 12/12/2007 the consumer stated experienced an unintended acceleration for the 4th time. Updated 12/12/07
