It's very easy to press the gas pedal when pressing down on the brake. On more than one occasion, I've had to quickly press the brake pedal and almost got in an accident because the size and position of the gas pedal caused me to hit both (especially when wearing snow boots). They could have made the gas pedal narrower or moved it over to the right an inch or two.

Since we have owned the vehicle we have had numerous times that when braking the accelerator would also be depressed. Numerous near misses, and today while pulling into our driveway in front of the garage this happened again. This time we went through our home. Now we will have damages to our home and our truck to report to the insurance company and this damage is, as I see it no fault of ours, it is the design of the trucks gas and brake pedal. Luckily no one was injured.
This is a very unsafe design flaw, and has happened more than once. Usually in an area that no damage has occurred. But after today I see that this could be a life ending accident in the right circumstances. I don't know if there is a recall or a class action suit, if so, I would like any information anyone could give me on either of these. This is not a safe vehicle with this kind of flaw and I would hate to see a life taken because of this.
