The front passenger side interior door handle broke, preventing the passenger from being able to open the door. In an emergency, the passenger would be unable to exit the vehicle without someone opening the door from the outside. I rarely have passengers, other than my preschool-aged son, who rides in his child seat in the rear passenger side seat. There is a recall for interior door handles for my vehicle's model year, but not for my VIN for some reason. Perhaps the recall should be expanded. The failure was noticed when a passenger was trying to exit the vehicle in a parking lot.

2012. Went to great lakes Ford ludington mi. Paint on rocker panel was blistering up with water underneath. At where the doors latch on hook.they would not do anything.it was under warranty. Now rusting very bad called in 4/17/18. Ford still will not do anything. I now put oil on it to slow it down.im very worried that if I get into an accident. That the doors will come open. It's. on both sides. I have 103000 miles on it. The seat belts go through the doors so if the doors open I would be out of the truck. Thank you for your time

The rocker panels are rusted badly. The rocker panel keeps the doors closed. When the rust gets to the point where the latch is the doors will not stay closed. It has not happened yet but it appears this will happen in the near future. With the rust this bad I am very concerned if there would ever be a side impact to the vehicle. I first noticed the rust in the late fall of 2017.

Truck was brought in for minor rust on inside panels of back doors, where the door closes. Body shop stated that maybe the drain channel was blocked. Upon picking the truck up after repair I was told that the rocker panels on both sides were so rusted out they were beyond repair. They stated it looks like the truck sat in water for a period of time, I bought the truck new from a dealer in amelia oh 43011 I am the original owner. I have looked on the web and it seems this is common on Ford trucks. I will cost me 4900$ to repair; the truck looks brand new and I have kept it in very, very good condition. I have contacted Ford but they will not help, they stated no recall or warranty issues have been reported at this time. Why haven't their engineers corrected this problem?

Recently discovered major damage due to rust and rot of cab pinch weld at rocker panels on both right and left sides extending front to back. 2010, Ford F-150, crew cab, 51,000 original miles. My complaint was formally addressed at the local dealership where purchased. They noted (vehicle is very clean......). my concerns were forwarded to corporate with response being 'out of five year warranty'. having found myself in a dilemma I had an auto body technician view the damage and his advice was to trade the vehicle. The extensive damage is not the result of normal wear and tear. This doesn't take a body technician to recognize this problem is due to inferior product of poor workmanship.

The inside passenger door handle broke leaving the door unable to open from the inside. Ford states that it is not covered under the warranty. I said it is an absolute safety hazard as the passenger is unable to exit the vehicle in an emergency and any repair should be covered under the manufacturer warranty.

On January 7, 2017, the temperature outside in the evening was around 10 degrees Fahrenheit. I got into my 2010 Ford F150M, started it allowing the engine to warm then began driving. The snow was falling and therefore my rear window had a light amount of snow on it and was hard to see out of. I turned on my rear defrost for my power sliding window, and approximately two minutes later I heard a loud noise. I noticed a few minutes later my left rear window panel was not defrosting. I parked my vehicle overnight in my garage and in the morning realized the left rear window panel had broken. Upon looking at it further I found that there was no impact from any object, and the glass fragments were being held together by the tint. I began researching for a price to get my window fixed and discovered hundreds of complaints about the window exploding when using the defrost. There had been no damage to the window prior to this evening and there was no impact to the window when it occurred. The window defroster was being operated as I have in multiple vehicles. After researching this, I found it was a very common issue. On 1/11/17, I contacted Ford Motor Company and filed a complaint and was told to being my vehicle into a Ford service facility for potential goodwill assistance. I was told by the Ford Motor Company representative that had had heard of this glass breakage before however Ford has no recalls on my vehicle for this repair. On 1/11/17, at the Ford service facility the vehicle was looked at, told that the replacement would be around $1000 and they would contact Ford. On 1/12/17, the service facility indicated the Ford regional representative was contacted and no assistance will be provided. I again contact the Ford, but was told the regional representative made the decision and nothing more would be done. On 1/13/17, I paid $585 to have the glass repaired.

Leaking water at vehicle's rear driver's side and passenger corners. Leaking water from passenger's side handle. While vehicle was parked on private driveway during multiple rain storms, it was found multiple times the truck cab was leaking profuse amounts of water from the rear cab corners and front passenger side handle. When researching this discrepancy, it has been found this very problem has been reported multiple times across the country. It's stated the leak is more often than not from the truck's 3rd brake light, and the passenger side handle leak is from a leaking satellite antennae. This hazardous condition can lead to mold, rot and rust issues with the truck, as well as potentially short out electrical due to water running down the vehicle's interior frame and collecting on the vehicle's floorboard and electrical channel areas. Due to the amount of complainants regarding this discrepancy, a recall should be sought and issued to fix the discrepancies.

The inside passenger side door handle is stuck in the open position. Passengers are forced to push the handle back into the closed position when riding. This problem is in fact listed as a recall item for the same make, model, and year of my vehicle. I contacted Ford and was informed that my vehicle VIN number/ factory was not included. According to the recall(NHTSA campaign #:11V049000), this defect could cause the door to fly open in an accident. Although Ford does not acknowledge this problem exist with my vehicle in particular or perhaps the plant where it was manufactured; this does not change the reality that it happened. I was instructed to take it to a Ford dealership and have the repairs done at my own cost. My vehicle was stationary when a passenger opened the door; only to find that the handle would not go back to closed position.

The interior driver's door handle will not go back into position after opening thus causing the door to fling open if driver does not push the handle back into position. The vehicle was stationary yesterday when I noticed the handle did not go back. Then yesterday leaving the parking lot, making a right turn my door flung open because I didn't ensure the handle was stowed. There is a recall for this item under Ford #11S15 but the VIN does not pull up this recall. Please contact me if you need pics because the truck is at the dealership right now where they told me it does not fall under this recall when clearly it is the exact same safety issue.
